About

Monday Perfect Puppy & Adolescent Class

Our Monday Perfect Puppy & Adolescent Class is designed to help you build a calm, confident and well-mannered dog through fun, positive training.

Held at Kingston Park Community Centre every Monday at 7:45pm, this friendly group class is suitable for puppies and adolescent dogs who are ready to learn essential skills in a safe and supportive environment. Classes have a rolling programme, so you can join without waiting for a new course to begin.

Each session combines important everyday training with engaging games, tricks and enrichment activities. We work at each dog’s individual ability, helping owners understand how to communicate clearly, reward the behaviours they want and keep training enjoyable.

Training may include:

  • Sit, down, stay and stand

  • Recall and responding to their name

  • Loose-lead walking and handler engagement

  • Focus around people, dogs and everyday distractions

  • Settle training and learning how to switch off

  • Impulse control and polite greetings

  • Place or mat training

  • Confidence-building exercises

  • Handling and preparation for grooming or veterinary visits

  • Fun tricks, such as spin, twist and twirl

  • Scent work, problem-solving and enrichment games

The activities change regularly to keep the sessions interesting. For example, we may add spins into loose-lead walking, use scent hide-and-seek to build confidence and independence, or turn stays and recall into enjoyable games.

Dogs are given their own space during the class and are not expected to interact or play with one another. This helps them learn that they can remain calm and focused around other dogs while building a stronger connection with their owner. If you would also like your puppy to have supervised opportunities to socialise, separate Puppy Social sessions are available.

All training uses positive, reward-based methods. Exercises can be adapted for dogs who are completely new to training as well as those who are ready for more challenging progressions.
